I got into mixing via producing and writing my own music. Over the years, mix engineers of the calibre of Bob Clearmountain, Phil Tan, Mark Needham, Dave Way and Tony Hoffer all mixed my songs, and the process of liaising with them as they worked on these mixes inspired me to learn more about the 'dark art' of mixing music.
I signed a global sync and publishing deal for my own music, then promptly shifted my energies towards mixing music for other artists.
As a first step, I sought out the mentorship of Australia's venerated mixing legend, David Hemming, who taught me invaluable lessons about how to effectively shape a mix.
From there I undertook the Art of Mixing course at the Berklee School of Music to get a solid grounding in the fundamentals. Then I began mixing music for local acts.
These days, I enjoy working on music from all genres - from pop, rock, and 80s styled synth-wave, to singer-songwriter and folk. I'd love to hear from you regardless of how polished or unpolished your song may be!
